Born in Vicenza, Italy, Giovanni Giaconi’s approach to architecture began in 1985 while studying Architectural Renovation in Vicenza, Italy. He then refined his knowledge of planning and renovation as the assistant in the architectural firm of Flavio Albanese in Vicenza, and later in New York City. He worked in Manhattan for several years as project manager and designer on various architectural renovation projects. In 1997 Giovanni engaged in the arts and as an artist he has exhibited his work in numerous Palladian villas, in Rome, New York, Stockholm, Bruxelles, Jakarta.Giovanni worked and traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, North and South America, he is also fluent in Italian, English, French, Greek… and is a skillful windsurfer. He is the author of “The Villas of Palladio” published by Princeton Architectural Press, New York 2003.
Giovanni Giaconi (Vicenza 17.08.1966) ha studiato restauro architettonico a Vicenza. Dal 1987 al 1997 ha poi affinato la conoscenza della progettazione e ristrutturazione come assistente nello studio di architettura di Flavio Albanese a Vicenza e a New York. Nel 1997 Giaconi si lascia coinvolgere dal mondo dell’arte: come artista espone i suoi acquarelli e disegni di architetture in numerose ville venete, a Roma, New York, Stoccolma, Bruxelles e Jakarta. Come attore, di rilievo sono la sua partecipazione nella grottesca produzione Troma di Tromeo and Juliet diretto da Lloyd Kaufman, Embrio e Manfred diretti da Luigi Creazzo, Twisted diretto da Seth Michael Donsky, One Fine Day - ”Un giorno per caso” diretto da Michael Hoffman, e recentemente partecipando a video musicali di Elton John, Ghostface Killah e al documentario Timewatch -The Wave That Destroyed Atlantis prodotto dalla BBC. Giovanni Giaconi è l’autore di “The Villas of Palladio” pubblicato da Princeton Architectural Press, New York ottobre 2003.
